§ 4-4-5. No employment contract.

This title shall not be deemed to constitute a contract between the city and any employee or participant or to be a consideration for an inducement for the employment of any employee or participant. Nothing contained in this title shall be deemed to give any employee or participant the right to be retained in the service of the city or to interfere with the right of the city to discharge any employee or participant at any time regardless of the effect which such discharge shall have upon him or her as a participant of this plan. The provisions of this title shall not be deemed to give the city the right to require any employee or participant to remain in the employ of the city or to restrict any such person's right to terminate his or her employment at any time.
