§ 2-74-4. Authority to establish committees, subcommittees and advisory council.

  • The commission is authorized to establish such committees and subcommittees as it may consider necessary to its operation in conducting inquiries, studies and research into all areas related to the delivery of services to the elderly. Such committees or subcommittees may include persons who are not members of such commission. The commission is further authorized to establish an advisory council appointed by the aforesaid Aging Commission of the Mid-South in accordance with bylaws established by the commission, provided that 51 percent of such appointees are over the age of 60 and include representatives of consumers and others knowledgeable and concerned in the needs of and the delivery of services for seniors and as set out in the guidelines regarding area agencies on aging.
