§ 2-18-2. Duty of purchasing agent to sell.

It shall be the duty of the purchasing agent to sell, publicly or privately, in his or her discretion, on the best terms he or she can obtain, all tangible personal property of the city where such property has come unfit for service or use to the city and has been condemned as provided for in section 2-18-1; provided, however, that, property with a value of $500.00 or more shall be sold only by resolution of the city council.
