§ 2-18-3. Prospectus of property to be sold; advertising sale.

  • The purchasing agent shall prepare a prospectus of property to sold under this chapter, wherein shall be fixed the time, place and conditions of the sale, which information shall be, by him or her, placed in the hands of prospective buyers by the most effective method. Whenever the property to be sold is, in his or her judgment, of sufficient value to justify the expense, he or she shall advertise the property for sale in one or more of the daily newspapers, but not in excess of three insertions in any one paper and, in such cases, shall state whether sealed bids will be received or an auction sale held.
