§ 14-16-49. Safety controls, guard rails and design standards for amusement devices.

A.

Amusement devices shall be equipped with approved safety controls. The cars or receptacles which persons are permitted to occupy shall have handrails of sufficient number and height or other approved appliances or safeguards, to prevent persons from being thrown therefrom or coming in contact with structural members or other obstructions.

B.

In all cases the design of such devices and construction shall be equal in structural safety to the requirements for elevators for comparable members or parts.
