§ 12-56-27. Manholes—Permit to enter.
No person shall enter any manhole constructed under this article, unless he or she has a permit to do so from the division of public service, and no company using any manhole shall permit any person to enter the same, unless he or she has such a permit. Such permit shall be issued by the division of public service upon proper evidence submitted that the applicant is careful and experienced. Such permit shall not be granted for a period longer than six months. The foregoing provisions shall not apply to any division or agency, or its employees, of the city.
