§ 12-56-26. Manholes—Joint use.

  • Any company, other than the original using agency, desiring to enter and use any manhole constructed under this article shall be permitted to enter the same and use the same by first obtaining a permit from the city, and by paying its proper pro rata of the cost of construction and maintenance of the manhole, such pro rata to be determined by the director of public works, except that such use by other companies shall not extend to manholes or conduits constructed for the purpose of transmitting electrical energy for lighting, heating and power.
