§ 6-84-4. Approval of plans and specifications for establishments.

  • Before work is commenced on any new undertaking establishment or any alterations of any existing establishment, plans and specifications, accompanied by such pertinent data as may be required, shall be submitted to the health department for its approval; and no part of the work shall be undertaken until the health department has endorsed upon the plans and specifications its written approval thereof. No department of the city charged with the duty of issuing building permits, plumbing permits, lighting permits, sewer connection permits or any other like permits shall issue such permits in connection with the construction, repair or remodeling of undertaking establishments until after the approval of the health department of the plans and specifications therefor.
