§ 2-6-3. Inspections of books and records.

The mayor shall have power to inspect such of the books, papers and records of the offices of the city as may, in his or her opinion, be necessary to enable him or her to discharge the duties imposed upon him or her, and may call upon all officers of the city to furnish him or her, in writing, with any information connected with their respective offices.
