§ 9-96-2. Duty of property owner to cut and clean—Penalty.

  • A.

    The owner or owners of all lands or lots in the city shall keep all weeds, rank grass and noxious growth of any kind upon such property cut or clipped to prevent a nuisance and urban blight.

    B.

    Failure to carry out the provisions of this chapter shall be considered a misdemeanor subject to punishment as provided in section 1-24-1 of this code.

    C.

    For the convenience of property owners, the weed section of the general services division will maintain a list of persons in the business of cutting grass and weeds and will supply such names on request of a property owner.
