§ 9-80-7. Buildings to be ratproof and rat-free.

  • A.

    All business buildings or multifamily dwellings in the city shall be ratproofed, freed of rats, and maintained in a ratproof and rat-free condition under the direction and supervision of the health officer.

    B.

    It is unlawful to erect any business building or multifamily dwelling in the city unless the same is equipped with ratproofing.

    C.

    The occupants of all ratproofed business buildings or multifamily dwellings are required to maintain the premises in a ratproof and rat-free condition and to repair all breaks or leaks that may thereafter occur.
