§ 9-76-5. Approval of plans and specifications for sewer work on property served by private supply.

  • Before any work is commenced on the construction of any sewers, sewage treatment plants, or any part of the sewerage system constructed underground, or any additions, alterations or major changes to an existing sewerage system on private property on which there is a private water supply, complete plans and specifications, accompanied by such pertinent data as may be required, shall be submitted by the owner or his or her agent to the department of health, and no part of the work shall be commenced until the department of health has given its written approval; provided that, this does not include changes and repairs to plumbing in buildings and above the ground which is controlled by the plumbing inspector of the city.
