§ 9-72-14. Rules and regulations.

    The health officer of the health department shall have the authority to establish rules and regulations governing good public health practices, and failure to comply with such instructions procedures shall be grounds for the suspension or revocation of the personal care home permit. Copies of the rules and regulations shall be supplied to personal care homes and operators and available to the public upon request.

    B.

    The regulations for personal care homes, as defined in this chapter, which provide room, board and personal care assistance for mentally ill persons, shall comply with the licensure standards of the state Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation for supportive living facilities. All other personal care homes, as defined in this chapter, shall comply with the rules of the state Department of Public Health, division of health care facilities for residential homes for the aged.
