§ 7-4-3. Certificate of good moral character required of applicants for state license.
A.
Each applicant for the certificate of good moral character required prior to the issuance or renewal of a state alcoholic beverage license shall make application to the alcohol commission created by section 2-82-1 on forms to be approved by the mayor. Such applications shall be transmitted by the alcohol commission to the mayor for his or her approval or disapproval.
B.
The mayor shall have authority to prepare, in accordance with state law, and have printed a form of certificate to be issued in certifying to the Commissioner of Revenue of the state the good moral character of applicants for such certificate.
C.
No such certificate of good moral character will be issued in any case where the location of the proposed retail liquor store has been disapproved by the mayor.
