§ 6-20-9. Refusal to issue.

  • In the event the director of police services shall refuse to issue a public dance hall permit to any applicant therefor, he or she shall note his or her reason or reasons for such action on the application form, and shall notify the applicant of such action and such reason or reasons within ten days after the filing of the application. Within five days after the receipt of such notification, the applicant shall have the right to request a hearing with the director of police services, or his or her designated representative, on the refusal of the director to issue the requested permit, and within 30 days after the request for such a hearing shall have been received by the director of police services or his or her designated representative, shall hold such a hearing, and his or her action and judgment, after hearing all the evidence and facts, shall be final and subject to court reviews as provided by law.
