§ 2-86-5. Authority to make application for receipt of funds.

Latest version.
  • It is not the intent of this chapter to establish a commission to operate an alcohol and drug abuse program but rather to serve as a planning, coordinating, review and recommending body to funding sources. However, insofar as such functions and duties may require funds for administration, it shall be authorized, subject to approval by the city council and the county board commissioners, to apply for and accept from federal, state, other governmental units or other sources, funds which may be offered or tendered to the commission for use in carrying out its various functions and programs.
