§ 2-64-3. Responsibilities.

The city council may at any time amend, modify or eliminate, by appropriate ordinances duly adopted, the authority, composition or existence of the parks committee. The parks committee shall provide recommendations and advice when requested by the mayor or the city council on the matters pertaining to parks, park facilities, playgrounds, recreational centers, recreational facilities, parkways and boulevards, including but not limited to:
A.

Improvement of parks and other facilities;

B.

Input for a long range plan for parks;

C.

Acquisition of park lands;

D.

Operation of parks and park facilities; and

E.

Development of citizen's volunteer efforts to enhance park services and beautify parks.
