Chapter 2-60. MEMPHIS ADVISORY COUNCIL ON HUMAN SERVICES |
§ 2-60-3. Chairperson and secretary; meetings.
Members of the council established by this division shall designate one of its members as chairperson for a one-year period. A member may serve for no more than two terms as chairperson, in succession. Members of the advisory council shall also designate one of its members as secretary, to serve at the will and pleasure of the advisory council, and who shall cause a proper record to be kept of the council proceedings. The advisory council shall meet at least once per month at such time and place as such council may fix by resolution. Special meetings may be called from time to time by concurrence of three members and/or the chairperson. The council may adopt rules and procedures consistent with existing laws as are necessary for the conduct of its affairs and performance of its functions and responsibilities. All rules and regulations must carry approval by the majority of the entire council members. All meetings must have at least 24 hours' written notice given to all members prior to any session. All meetings shall be open to the public.
