§ 2-46-1. Created; purposes.

There is created a groundwater quality control board for Shelby County, (hereinafter referred to as "board") for the purpose of securing, protecting, and preserving the quality and quantity of the groundwater within the boundaries of Shelby County; to abate existing pollution of the groundwater; and to plan for the future use of the groundwater so that the resources of Shelby County shall be used and enjoyed to the best interests of all its citizens.
