The trustees of the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, who shall constitute the board of
trustees, shall be appointed by the mayor with the approval of a majority of the council
for terms of three years. Any trustee appointed to fill a vacancy on the board of
trustees shall serve only for the balance of the term of office of the vacancy so
filled. Trustees whose terms shall expire may be reappointed to the office of trustee
at the pleasure of the mayor with the approval of a majority of the council. All trustees
of the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art shall serve without pay.
