§ 2-34-6. Uniforms and equipment furnished by city.

  • A.

    The police services division shall furnish to all officers of the unit designated pursuant to this chapter, upon entry on duty and receiving commissions, such equipment and uniform clothing which the director designates as necessary in accordance with established uniform allowance policy, and shall furnish such officers replacement uniform clothing and equipment as needed, in accordance with established uniform allowance policy.

    B.

    Items of uniforms and equipment issued to officers of this unit under the provisions of this section shall remain the property of the police services division and shall be returned to the police services division by the person to whom issued upon termination of service, or upon the instructions of the director.

    C.

    All items of uniforms and equipment issued under the provisions of this section may be declared expended, unuseable or beyond repair, when in the discretion of the director such appears warranted, and may thereafter be disposed of in the manner determined most practicable by the director.
