§ 2-34-2. Designation; membership; employee status.

The police force shall be designated as the public housing security services unit and will be composed of a commander of the public housing security service, designated from the police division by the director of police services to serve in this assignment at the will and pleasure of such director, and such other supervisors, aides, community service officers and clerical assistants as shall be designated by the director of police services. Members shall be full-time employees of the police services division, under the exclusive control and jurisdiction of the police services division, and shall be included in any life or health insurance or other such fringe benefits provided for all similar employees of the city, including coverage under the civil service system of the city.
