§ 2-24-4. Duty of members to report fire hazards.

  • Whenever any inspection authorized in section 2-24-3 is made, and it shall come to the attention of any member of the fire services division that any of the fire hazards mentioned in sections 1.07 and 1.08 of the Standard Fire Protection Code exist on or about the premises, or that any ordinance of the city, or act of the general assembly, designed to prevent the ignition or spread of fires is being violated, it shall be the duty of such member forthwith to report the facts to the fire marshal who shall proceed to take all steps necessary to cause the fault to be remedied.
