§ 2-24-20. Fees for use of fire services division equipment.

  • A.

    Authorized. The fire services division may permit the use of certain of its equipment by persons or individuals, as authorized hereunder, and charge the users of such equipment a fee to defray the cost of providing for the maintenance of such equipment.

    B.

    Fee schedule. Fees are established at the following schedule:

    1. Service fee for salvage covers (not caused by fire):
    Tarpaulin or cover for storefront or roof $20.00
    Plus per-day charge of 5.00
    2. Service fee for salvage covers (caused by fire):
    First ten days 20.00
    Plus per-day additional charge of 5.00
    3. Service fee for pumping water (not caused by fire):
    Initial charge 10.00
    Plus charge per 1,000 gallons of water 5.00

     

    For the purpose of fixing charges, a day shall begin at 12:01 a.m.

    C.

    Collection of charges. Users shall be billed by the city by the tenth of the month following use of such equipment, but the lack of receipt of such bill shall not relieve payment or forfeit the city's rights and remedies to collect for services rendered.

    D.

    Disposition of funds. All fees collected under this section shall be paid into the general fund of the city for the purpose of administering this section.
