§ 2-18-4. Sale to be for cash; exceptions.

  • All sales under this chapter shall be made for cash, which shall be paid immediately by the purchaser or purchasers to the city purchasing agent, who shall deposit such proceeds with the city treasurer as a general revenue of the city, provided, however, that such sales may be made other than for cash by resolution of the city council wherein provision is made requiring proper chattel mortgage securing the obligation of the purchaser, to be furnished the city and filed with the comptroller for collection in due course.
