§ 2-10-12. Recusal of members of the board of ethics and chief ethics officer.

  • A.

    Members of the board of ethics and the chief ethics officer shall not take part in any matter in which a judge, similarly situated, would have to recuse himself or herself.

    B.

    If the chief ethics officer recuses himself or herself in a particular matter, the board of ethics may, in its discretion, appoint a member of the Tennessee bar, in good standing, who has practiced not fewer than ten years, to serve in place of the chief ethics officer in that particular matter.
