§ 14-16-94. Power operated sidewalk elevator tops.

Power operated sidewalk elevators shall be provided with either flat metal tops of metal frames or arched metal bows of sufficient strength to open the hatch covers, or be provided with a device that will stop the car before a person riding on the car platform could be injured, if the hatch cover is not in the open position when the car is operated in the up direction.
