§ 14-16-35. Required—Exception.

No elevator, dumbwaiter or escalator shall be operated by the owner or lessee thereof, unless an operating permit has been issued pursuant to this article; provided, however, that, no operating permit shall be required for elevators or escalators which are located in a highly restricted area owned and operated by the United States Government.
