§ 14-16-16. Created—Composition—Appointment and terms of members.
A.
There is created within the office of planning and development a board of elevator rules, consisting of five members who shall be appointed by the mayor and approved by the city council. At the expiration of the initial members' terms of office, they, or their successors identifiable with the same interest respectively as hereinafter provided, shall be appointed for terms of four years each.
B.
Of the five appointed members of the board, one shall be a representative of the manufacturers of elevators used within the city, one shall be a representative of labor, one shall be a representative of an insurance company authorized to insure the operation of elevators within the city, one shall be a representative of owners and lessees of elevators within the city, and one shall be a representative of the public at large.
