§ 14-12-50. Work permits.

  • A.

    Before erecting any boiler or pressure vessel regulated by this chapter, and before making any repairs or alterations to any boiler or pressure vessel, the person doing such work shall first file an application and secure a permit for the same. Specifications for such work shall be made on blanks furnished by the chief inspector's office and shall accompany all such applications for permits.

    B.

    For repairs being made in case of emergencies when the office of the inspector is closed, a permit shall be taken out as soon as the office is opened after the repairs have been started and the chief inspector notified of such.

    C.

    Before installing any boiler or pressure vessel required under this chapter to be inspected, the owner or user shall first obtain a permit from the chief inspector.
