§ 14-12-45. Increasing safety factors.

The board of boiler rules authorizes an inspector to increase factors of safety if the condition of the boiler or unfired pressure vessel warrants it. If the owner or user does not concur with the inspector's decision, the owner or user may appeal to the board of boiler rules, which may request a joint inspection by the chief inspector and a deputy or special inspector. Each inspector shall render his or her report to the board of boiler rules and the board shall render the final decision, based upon the data contained in all the inspectors' reports.
