§ 14-12-35. Accident reports.

  • When an accident occurs which serves to render a boiler or unfired pressure vessel inoperative, the owner or user shall immediately notify the chief inspector, and submit a detailed report of the accident. In case of serious accident, such as explosion, notice shall be given immediately by telephone, telegraph or messenger and neither the boiler or unfired pressure vessel nor any of the parts thereof shall be removed or disturbed before an inspection has been made by the chief inspector or a deputy inspector or a special inspector, unless for the purpose of saving human life.
