§ 12-96-6. Duty of operator in case of accident.
In case of collision, accident or other casualty involving a motorboat, it shall be the duty of the operator, insofar as he or she can do so without serious danger to his or her motorboat or persons aboard, to render such assistance as may be practicable and necessary to other persons affected by the collision, accident or other casualty, in order to save them from danger caused by the collision, accident or casualty. He or she shall also give his or her name, address, and identification of his or her motorboat to any persons injured, and to the owner of any property damaged.
