§ 12-80-19. Inspection by city engineer.

The city engineer shall inspect all railroad crossings and see that the railroads of the city comply with the ordinances of the city and all contracts between the city and such railroads with respect to street crossings, and in case such crossings are not maintained as provided by ordinance or contract, he or she shall have the power to order the railroad company so in default to do the necessary work, and is vested with the power to enforce such order by instituting proper legal proceedings through the city attorney.
