§ 12-80-2. Wooden bridges, culverts or trestles.

  • It is unlawful for any railroad company having tracks or obtaining the right-of-way to lay tracks in the corporate limits of the city to construct, alter, change or repair any wooden bridge, culvert or trestle, but, in all instances hereafter, bridges, culvert or trestles shall be constructed of concrete and/or steel. When any wooden bridge, culvert or trestle needs repairs, it shall be torn away and one of such materials constructed in its stead. The plans in all instances shall be submitted to and approved in writing by the city engineer before any work shall be done on the same.
