§ 11-40-28. Claims for damaged booting devices—Presumption on registered owner.

  • In the event that a boot or similar vehicle immobilization device, which was properly and lawfully affixed to a vehicle, is damaged or destroyed as a result of attempts to remove it from the vehicle or attempts to drive the vehicle, proof of ownership of such vehicle shall be prima facie evidence that such damage occurred through actions of the owner of the vehicle or with his or her authority, consent and knowledge.
